It started with a beautiful Selsey sunset...






Up close and personal






For the second time in as many weeks - the green flash (this time I remembered my camera's memory card!)






Still not convinced?






Six minutes after sunset, a distinct localised red glow could still be clearly seen






A stunning Belt of Venus (Earth's shadow seen in the opposite direction from the sunset)...






Saturn, Venus and Mercury appear






A quick drive to the other side of Selsey just in time to see the moonrise...






...and what a moonrise it was!






Could almost be a sunset






Beautiful






Just to round off a perfect evening - an NLC display!






My first ever NLC sighting in fact






With a telescope on the beach, it was a perfect opportunity to photograph some fine NLC structure
