LPDP - Parallax Results: Distance Calculation Values

Well done to Adam Strachan-Stephens for being the first to submit a calculated distance following publication of this website...

Adam's states:

"I have now calculated and averaged 4 of the 6 data points available.

The average comes out at 387,804km surface of Moon to surface of Earth and 395,910km center to center.

Unfortunately if I take away the result with which I have the least confidence (between the stations 55.82N and 50.65N) the figures come out at 416,935km and 425,041km."

To clarify the request, the distance that I'm looking for is the centre to centre distance. Hence Adam has two figures for consideration: 395,910km and 425,041km.

Is he correct? Well his figures nicely span what I believe is the correct figure. They are also closer than a couple of other figures submitted by (ahem) myself and another contributor. All in all, Adam's figures are pretty impressive.

No details of the calculation will be shown yet - can you do better?

Information necessary to work the distance out is given here...
